It's been a busy 6 months since we released our 'Building Heights of London' application and associated Open Data download based upon the Environment Agency's LiDAR data. Since then the Emu Analytics team has been busy working on a new dataset to allow us to output building heights across England and introduce our new Emu DataPacks product.

As with all good January traditions we are doing a sale on blogs this week, especially as we didn't put one out in December. So to kick 2016 off you are getting 2 for 1 on content. We have been doing a lot of work in 3D recently and thought we would share some of the outcomes in calculating building heights using open data. There is also a chance to exercise your speakers, as we have updated our sound map from last year to cover more detailed noise pollution in central London.
To celebrate the release of a lot of open data recently we have created a slightly different take on one of the datasets available in Digital Catapult's new Environmental Data Exchange (EDX) website, and data.gov.uk.
